FAQ

Straightforward answers about selling your watch, finding your next one and what to expect from Time Exchange.

How does selling privately work?

Tell us about your watch and upload a few clear photos. We review your submission before sharing it with verified retailers. You can then compare any offers and decide whether you want to proceed.

How does sourcing a watch work?

Tell us the exact watch you are looking for. We review your request, share it with verified retailers and bring suitable options back to you to compare privately.

How are retailers verified?

We review every retailer application and carry out appropriate identity, business and compliance checks. Verification is not a guarantee, so you should still complete your own checks before agreeing a transaction.

Does Time Exchange charge commission?

No. Time Exchange does not charge customers a fee or commission to submit a watch or sourcing request. Any delivery, inspection, authentication or other transaction costs are agreed directly with the retailer before they are incurred.

When are contact details shared?

Retailers can see the relevant watch details or sourcing brief, but not your direct contact details, while reviewing and responding. We share your details only with the retailer you choose when you ask us to make an introduction.

How do offers work?

Verified retailers can make offers on suitable watches. You review them privately and choose whether to request an introduction. Offers remain subject to inspection, and final transaction terms are agreed directly with the retailer.

How do sourcing responses work?

Retailers can respond with details of a suitable watch, including price, condition, availability and any stated terms. You can review the options privately and only ask to be connected when you are ready.
